2015-2016 School Year Information
Schedules will be available for students online beginning August 10th. Questions regarding schedules can be addressed during the Chromebook reissue time on August 13th.
Freshman and new student orientation will be held from 2:00 - 3:30 pm.
Beginning of the Year Conferences will be held August 20th from 5:30-7:30 pm.
New student and freshman activity meeting will be held August 20th at 7:30 pm.
Returning 9-12 Students Chromebook Reissue: Returning 6-12 students will be able to pick up their Chromebook on August 13th from 1-7 at the High School Commons. Students need to have signature sheets and initialed checklists (to be mailed to each family) completed to pick up their Chromebook. All outstanding fees from last year must be paid prior to receiving your Chromebook. One member from each family is able to pick up all Chromebooks for the family as long as all paperwork is complete.

Algona High School
Algona High School is a 9-12 comprehensive high school accredited by the Iowa Department of Education, and also offers an alternative school program for 9-12 students. Algona High School offers over 120 course offerings for students, which includes 25 courses for college credit through Iowa Lake Community College. We offer career academy programming in Broadcast Media, Building Construction, Automotive Technology and Health Care. In addition to our course offerings, we also have outstanding vocational and extra curricular opportunities for our students. Algona High School began a 1:1 computer environment in January of 2015. All students have their own Chromebook to use during the school day and to take home at night for school work.
