Superstars is a fun event at Algona High School that students look forward to every year. Freshmen through seniors at AHS are all allowed and encouraged to participate. Students get to compete with their classmates against the other grades to see which grade is superior. Superstars this year will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd.
Some fun activities included in Superstars are dodgeball, mini golf, steal the bacon, musical chairs, tug-of-war, lightning, weight lifting, arm wrestling, a talent show, and many others! Some events are by sign up only, which will take place next Friday, March 17th, during Advisory. There are also drop in events that anyone can participate in, held in the commons.
Last year’s winner of Superstars was the junior class. The class who scores the most points out of all the activities earns first place honors. Matthew Hoover said, “Superstars is super fun. I’m super excited!”
Will the seniors win for the second year in a row? Or will a new winner arise?
