The final stretch of the 2022-2023 school year is upon us. Third quarter ends on Tuesday, March 14. Third quarter grades will weigh 40% of your GPA. Students’ final semester grades will be weighed by 40% of quarter 3, 40% of quarter 4, and 20% of semester test scores.
That same night, of March 14, there will be an Academic Night of Excellence to reward students for their academic success and to also initiate new members of the National Honor Society.
For the fourth and final quarter of the 2022-2023 school year, there will be several events and activities that the students, staff, and community can look forward to.
The first big event during the fourth quarter at AHS is Superstars, which will take place on Wednesday, March 22. Students of all high school grades will compete against one another in several different activities and games.
More fun activities that will be taking place during the fourth quarter will be the senior exit presentations, which will take place on Tuesday, March 28. Seniors will discuss their future plans with staff members as they prepare to graduate from AHS. The spring play will take place the weekend of April 1 and 2, and Prom will be held on Saturday, April 22.
To wrap up the school year, seniors will have a senior breakfast in honor of their last day of school, which will take place on Wednesday, May 17. After that, seniors will attend an assembly for awards and scholarships. Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 21st, to celebrate and recognize the graduating class of 2023. Friday, May 26 at 11:30 will be the last day for the remaining grades at AHS.
