Reese Taylor has advanced to State Swimming. This season she broke her 6-dive record hopes to break her 11-dive record at state. Her hardest 2 dives she will be performing are the front 2.5 sumersault in the tuck position and a back 1.5 sumersault with 1.5 twists in the free position. Only 4 divers will attempt the 2.5 and only 4 divers will attempt the back twister. In addition to Reese’s success, Brook Ludwig of Bishop Garrigan broke the 200 freestyle record with a time of 2:17, a record that has been standing since 2012. Also, Ella Welp broke the 50 freestyle record with a time of 25.51. This record has been standing since 2014. Her time of 25.51 put Ella within 4 tenths of a second away from qualifying for state in arguably the most competitive event in the sport.
