The Algona High School theater department will take center stage performing The Internet is Distract - Oh Look a Kitten! This is a comedy by Ian McWethy. You can watch this humorous show at the Wilcox Performing Arts Center on April 27th at 7:00 pm and April 28th at 2:00 pm. Tickets will be $8 for adults and $5 for students at the door.

The show is about a girl who has to finish an English paper and goes to the internet to check a few facts. Unfortunately, the internet is a wacky place and is full of distractions. She does not know if she will be able to finish the paper.

Senior, Sarah Mawdsley, says, “I heart emoji the internet.” She also expressed how she is excited to have her first lead role. Hannah Severson says, “It’s the internet, it just has to be loud and repetitive.”

The theater production is directed by Mallory Zwiefel, and the cast is made up of 20 students. Auditions for the play took place back in February and they have been working hard since then to prepare.

Good luck to all the cast members.
