The track girls have been on a roll! Natalie Johnson broke her record once again in the 100 meter dash at Drake Relays and placed 10th. Macy Knapp track 2026

At the Conference meet in Webster City on May 7th, the girls placed 1st as a team! The overall team score was 174. There were 10 events that placed first. Johnson got first place in the 100 in 12.39, the 200 in 26.04, the 4x100, and the 4x200. The 4x100 finished in 50.65 and the 4x200 finished in 1:49.22. Macy Knapp placed first in the 800 in 2:23.65 and in the 4x400. The 4x400 finished in 4:16.97. The 4x800 also won, clocking in at 10:23.00. Sienna Fehr won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.14. Maya Lentz won the long jump competition with a jump of 16-04.25. Jada Roberts won the high jump with a jump of 5-03.00. 

They then had Districts at MOC Floyd Valley on May 13th. At this, the girls had a chance to qualify for State. They qualified: Reagan Haynes in shot put and discus, Lentz in long jump, Roberts in high jump, Johnson in the 100 and 200, Sienna Fehr in the 400 hurdles, Knapp in the 800, the 4x100 team of Lilly Allie, Lentz, Alissa Engel, and Johnson, and the 4x800 of Charli Dodds, Rose Kitzinger, Regan Jensen, and Knapp. Also at Districts, the girls broke four school records. Lentz set the new long jump record at 17’5”. Haynes’ throw of 134-07 broke the school discus record. Johnson beat her 100 meter dash record yet again, this time at 12.04. And the 4x100 team of Allie, Lentz, Engel, and Johnson set a new record at 49.90.
