A new face has joined the Algona High School staff, and the world of teaching, this year, Mrs. Wolf. Before coming to Algona, Mrs. Wolf attended the University of Northern Iowa, where she majored in accounting. She has her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in accounting.
After graduating from UNI, Mrs. Wolf worked at Erpelding, Voigt, & Company, where she prepared tax returns, did payroll, and bookkeeping. After that she worked at Algona Municipal Utilities as an accountant.
Mrs. Wolf decided to switch to teaching because she has always wanted to be involved with the school since she graduated from Algona. Her goal is to impact students in financial education. Mrs. Wolf says, “You are in control of your future.”
She is enjoying her new role as the Algona High School business teacher. Her favorite part so far is getting to know the students and community from a different aspect. Wolf likes being able to teach the topics she wants. She also loves the high energy of the day.
Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. They love going to sporting activities, parks, and the pool. Make sure when you see her you say hi!
