Frank Lloyd Wright house Mason City 2026

Written by Sophia Fuerstenau

Ten students in the AHS housing class took a field trip to tour two of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright's works, the Stockman House and the Historic Park Inn, both in Mason City, on Wednesday, September 9th. At this field trip the class learned about how Wright's style of architecture fit into the midwestern landscape.

Mrs. Louwagie, the housing teacher, said, ”The class learned so much by being able to see examples of his work first-hand and really got a sense of the prairie style of architecture.”
