he Algona Bulldogs’ Scarlet Regiment Marching Band will compete at the State Marching Band competition in Fort Dodge on Saturday, October 10th. The Bulldogs will compete at 1:35 PM against fourteen different schools in class 3A.
Last year the Bulldogs earned a Division I rating, which is the best rating possible. This year the Bulldogs are looking to get another Division I rating.
Their program is called Scarlet Overdrive and they will play three different movements. Scarlet Overdrive will also be performed at the next home Bulldog football game during halftime, on October 16th.
The Bulldogs will also perform on Monday, 
October 8th, in the Ed and Betty Wilcox Performing Art Center, for a concert. The AHS choir will perform at this concert as well. Everyone is welcome to come. It is free to get in! Good luck Bulldogs!
