IJAG in Homecoming parade 2021

Just this year, IJAG became a part of Algona High School. IJAG stands for Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates. IJAG is a program where students get to focus on what they want to do after high school, whether that is going to college or straight into the workforce. This program helps students also decide where they want to go.

Algona High School’s IJAG teacher is Casee Ross. Mrs. Ross is one of the most helpful teachers at AHS. She helps students work on projects and teaches important life skills. Ross helps her students find jobs if they don’t have one and are struggling with money. She also helps students with late assignments. Ultimately Mrs. Ross only wants what is best for her students.

On October 1st, 2021, IJAG students are traveling to West Bend to tour Country Maid. One of the reasons for this tour is because Country Maid has some newer technology in use.

Ross says, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” IJAG is a program that is very helpful for the juniors and seniors who are enrolled.
