This week’s Student Spotlight is Brandon Harris. Brandon, a senior at Algona High School, enjoys everything, class, school activities, and mainly sports.
Brandon grew up in LuVerne and attended CWL his early years, up until middle school. Then he came to Algona to be a Bulldog. Brandon was raised by Amber and Roger Harris. He is also the oldest sibling in his family; he has a younger sister.
Brandon is a big Marvel fan and loves the Green Bay Packers. He also loves making jokes to everyone, especially “your mom” jokes.
When it comes to sports, determination and competitiveness comes out from within Harris. With all of his hard work, Brandon has been well known over the years with his football and wrestling career at AHS. He is grateful for all of the opportunities his coaches have given him and is glad to be a part of the AHS athletics programs.
At AHS, Brandon enjoys lifting weights, PE class, and hanging out with friends whenever free time is available. One highlight of Brandon’s school day is having open free periods. Brandon states, “Napping in the library during my free period hits different.”
As for Brandon’s future plans after high school, he plans to attend college and play football, but he is undecided as to where he wants to attend. Knowing that it is his last year here at Algona, Brandon will leave being Bulldog proud.
