With 1st quarter coming to an end on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, and 2nd quarter starting the following day, Thursday, October 21, 2021, students are wrapping up the quarter by finishing up their work and missing assignments.
At AHS, classes are weighted by quarters and the semester test. Both quarters, quarter one and quarter two, are 40% of the students’ semester grade.The semester tests make up the remaining 20% of their grades for their first semester final grade.
Make sure you are continuously checking your grades, before the end of the quarters. This can be done through Infinite Campus online or the app. Conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021, from 4:00-7:30. This is a great time to talk about how students are doing in their classes. It is also a great opportunity for parents to get to know their kids’ teachers. Due to conferences school-wide that week, students will be getting out at 2:30 on Monday and Thursday and will get Friday, November 5, off!
Semester tests will be here before we know it, before Christmas break. Semester tests will be held on December 20, 21, and 22, 2021. That puts the end of the 2nd quarter/1st semester on the 22nd. Senior, Kiley Pearson, said, “I can’t believe my senior year is already one-fourth of the way done! It’s flying by so fast!”
