Thanksgiving is celebrated by millions of people across the world. It is a time to celebrate, give thanks, and appreciate all that you have. Along with it comes spending time with family and friends. It is a holiday that a lot of people look forward to each year. During this holiday, families do many different things. Some go out of state to celebrate with their families, some stay home, and some stay in state and go to their families’ houses.
Families all around America have many different traditions each year to celebrate Thanksgiving. A lot of families like to sit around and watch football and the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade. Some also make a big traditional meal, break the wishbone for good luck, and go out and give back to people who are less fortunate. Sam Reitz stated, “We just watch football.” And his favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving is turkey. “Cheesy potatoes are my favorite,” said Addi Behounek. A few people said that they really like ham and actually prefer it over turkey. Some also said that mashed potatoes and buns are their favorites. Another popular choice is green bean casserole.
The day after Thanksgiving is a pretty popular holiday also. Families get up super early for Black Friday and race to get all of the good deals. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! And now, Christmas will be here in 22 days!
