Large group speech has begun! For those who do not know what speech is, it includes many categories, such as Readers Theater, Musical Theater, Short Film, and many more. All of the categories are group-related projects. If you are looking for a solo, individual speech season follows large group.
Readers Theater is judged upon how the group reads the story and the emotion following along with it. Musical Theater is acting out a one act play, which has to be memorized, and include emotion in it. As for Short Films, it can be individualized by the creativity of the group.
Students are able to compete in three competitions throughout the large group speech season. If a group places well enough at a competition, students can advance to Districts, State, and even All State.
