Algona students enjoyed time off from school to celebrate Christmas break. School was dismissed early, at 1:30, on December 22nd, and students returned to classes on January 4rd.
AHS students and staff did a lot of fun and relaxing activities over break. Some spent time with their families, cooked meals, and celebrated Christmas and New Years. Kenzi Carrigan says she spent her break “shopping for friends and family and working at Millers.” With the extremely nice weather, many went ice skating or ice fishing. Maddie Hilbert spent break going to the movies with her parents. She saw the movies Spiderman: No Way Home, American Underdog, and Sing 2. Mrs. Spear, along with many others, used Christmas break as an opportunity to catch up on their sleep.
Although break is over, a great deal of students are excited to be halfway through the year.
