Lend me a Tenor

AHS’s theater department is proud to announce its upcoming theatrical production. The spring play is Lend Me a Tenor, by Ken Ludwig.

Lend Me a Tenor is about a world-renowned tenor, Tito Merelli, who has signed on to play Otello at a Cleveland opera company in the fall of 1934. He arrives late and, through a set of crazy circumstances, passes out after mixing wine with a huge dose of tranquilizers.

The cast for this year’s play is Seth Walker as Max, Shea Thilges as Maggie, Riker Brindley as Saunders, Dane Nygaard as Tito, Loralei Brady as Maria, Jacob Schutter as Bellhop, Kylie Skow as Diana, and Hannah Severson as Julia. Seniors this year involved in the play are Shea Thilges, Kylie Skow, Wyatt Struecker, Wren Menke, Irelynd Lohman, Ryan McCauley, and Harsh Modi. Mrs. Rachel Zuetlau will be directing the production.

Mrs. Zuetlau said, “I’m very excited about the play. I think that the show itself is very funny, and it will not only be fun for the audience to watch but the cast will also enjoy putting it together. Not only is there a lot of funny conversations within the show, but there is also a lot of movement involved. It’s going to be an amazing, lighthearted show for everyone to sit back, relax, and watch.”

You can watch the play at the Ed & Betty Wilcox Performing Arts Center on the 9th and 10th of April. Tickets will be available at the door and will be $5 for students and $7 for adults. Activity passes will not be accepted.
