Algona offers many hands-on experiences for students here at AHS. One example of this is Mr. Birkey’s industrial technology class is making yard A’s for the community to buy, and Mr. Bradley’s business class is doing the marketing side of this project.
Algona recently changed the A logo in Algona, which these yard signs showcase. The signs can be customized at the bottom if requested. The yard A’s come in two different sizes: small is 18”x15” and large is 23” x 25”. The small costs $45.00 and the large costs $60.00.
The sign up sheets are in the office or can be found on the school website. The sign up deadline is May 2nd. This is a great yard sign to be up in proud Bulldog yards. These signs would also look very good outside at graduation parties!
This is a great experience for the students, but they need the community to order the yard signs so that this project can be beneficial. Devin Lester helps to make the yard A’s in industrial tech and says, “It is a very fun experience and it will be fun to see the A’s in people’s yards and know that I helped make them.”
