The FFA plant sale is currently going on. Being held on May 3rd, 4th, and 5th, from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. The Algona High School FFA greenhouse is located on the south side of the high school. Only cash and checks are accepted. The proceeds go to the Algona FFA chapter to help with community service and greenhouse projects. 

The students in horticulture class are working the plant sale. The horticulture class also did the planting in the greenhouse. 

The FFA members are excited to get back to in person sales after two years of online sales due to Covid. 

The FFA chapter is selling flowers, like petunias, geraniums, pansies, begonias, coleus, goldis, fountain grasses, spikes, and sweet potato vines. They are also selling herbs, like basil, dill, and cilantro. Also tomatoes, like big boy, better boy, super sauce, beefsteak, and napa grape will be sold. Peppers are also being sold and there are sweet peppers, cayenne, and jalapeno. Succulents, hanging baskets, faux wood planters, and memorial baskets will be sold at the FFA greenhouse also.
