Cameron Sheda - 2022

This school year, AHS welcomes a new Spanish teacher, Cameron Sheda. Miss Sheda is from Spirit Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Spirit Lake High School before furthering her education at the University of Iowa. During her time at the University of Iowa, she majored in both Spanish and secondary education.

As a recent college graduate looking to begin her career, Miss Sheda accepted the position as the Spanish 2, 3, and 4 teacher at Algona High School. The decision to work in Algona was an easy one, as it is close to her hometown. Also, many family and friends who live in Algona have always told her how great it is!

Although she is a first year teacher, Miss Sheda has a lot of experience with Spanish. She began studying Spanish in middle school and has over 10 years of experience in the study of Spanish! Although she has always excelled in Spanish, Miss Sheda also considered a career as a music teacher. Miss Sheda said, “I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, and I’ve always loved school, so I knew it was the right thing to do.''

Miss Sheda’s favorite part about being a teacher is the students. She loves getting to know students, building relationships with them, and sharing her passion with others. AHS is so happy to have you!
