Swim team 2022 fun

On September 20th, the six Algona swimmers, one Bishop Garrigan swimmer, and four Estherville swimmers had a home meet against Spencer. In the meet, Algona ended up taking a loss but kept their heads held high. The team lost 39-139.  One of the five freshmen on the team, Reese Taylor, says, “The season has been going pretty well. I am happy to show people there are more things out there to do.”

Two days later, on September 22nd, the team traveled to Perry and competed against both Perry and Fort Dodge. The girls lost, but Brooke Ludwig took home a medal, placing second in the 100 yard freestyle.

Next Thursday, the Bulldogs have a home meet against Mason City. The meet will be located at Algona’s YMCA. In the meantime, the girls will be practicing to hopefully win against the Riverhawks.
