Geitzenauer 2022

This school year, 2022-2023, AHS welcomes Brenda Geitzenauer as a new teacher to the district. Miss Geitzenauer graduated from TRV High School in Bode. After high school, she attended Wartburg College for biology and education. After Wartburg, she attended Minnesota State University for educational leadership.

Miss Geitzenauer’s hobbies are reading, traveling, watching movies, watching musicals, and spending time with friends and family. She has also just started jogging and is trying to learn to love it.

Miss Geitzenauer’s job at AHS is running the Alternative School Program. She took on this job because she is always looking for a new challenge. She has also always had a soft spot for kids who don’t fit in the “normal” mode for school. Her job consists of being an advocate for each student. Miss Geitzenauer said, “As children grow older, they start to make their own decisions. I hope to be able to help them through this process and become successful, productive citizens.” Miss Geitzenauer wants to help children become more successful and always look out for them.

Miss Geitzenauer’s biggest characteristic is being honest, she’s not going to sugar coat things. Life is real and we have to face each situation as it comes, she points out.

Miss Geitzenauer wants to help all of the students she can. She is very excited to be working here at AHS.
