Treston Severson 2022

In August 2022, the National Recognition Program awarded 62,000 students from all around the United States with academic honors for excelling in their classrooms. One of these students was from right here in Algona, Treston Severson.

Severson was awarded the National Rural and Small Town Award. To get this award you need to have a 3.5 grade point average or higher and excel on the PSAT or get a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams.

This award can be put on college applications to help students stand out to colleges. It will also help connect people to universities across the country. Students who are eligible need to apply during their sophomore or junior year.

Severson states, “I’m honored to be recognized.” Algona High School is proud to congratulate Treston Severson on his academic honors from College Board’s National Recognition programs.
