Senior Spotlight - Tora Solbach

This week’s senior spotlight is Tora Solbach. Tora was born in Seoul, Korea. Tora was adopted by Tony and Jody Solbach when she was seven months old. She has two brothers, Isaac and Samuel Solbach.

Tora has many interests both in and out of school. She does three sports: basketball, track, as well as softball during the summer. Alongside sports, Tora also is involved with Model UN.

When she is not busy playing sports, Tora loves to hike, go snowboarding, and hang out with her friends. Tora does not have a job at the moment, but during the summer she lifeguarded at the pool. She is very involved with Algona athletics, and you can see her at almost every sporting event, cheering on the Bulldogs.

During the summer, Tora took a trip to Africa to get more experience in her interest in neuroscience. Next fall, she is excited to start her journey in the neuroscience field. She is planning on attending a school outside of Iowa, but she is currently undecided on where that will be.

In college, she is excited for sporting events, specifically football games. If Tora could tell the underclassmen anything, she says, “Learn time management early, because it will make life so much easier in the future.”
