Adams 2022

Jacob Adams was born and raised in Swea City, Iowa, with his older sister, Carrie, and his older brother, Matt. His brother, Matt, is a twin, who was born just before him. Mr. Adams is the youngest of the three. He and his siblings went to North Union High School in Armstrong, Iowa. His high school’s name was North Kossuth, up until his senior year, then it became North Union. Jacob was a four sport athlete in high school  in football, wrestling, track, and baseball. 

After high school, Adams got a scholarship for wrestling and studied at Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. He majored in health promotions and exercise science and had a minor in business. Adams’ job before coming to Algona was at North Union as a paraeducator and substitute teacher. 

Mr. Adams is now a credit recovery instructor at Algona High School and he is a coach. Mr. Adams coaches football, girls’ wrestling, and baseball. Adams loves coaching because, “I want kids to be successful in what they do and do better than what I did.”His job as a credit recovery instructor at AHS is to assist high school students on recovering credits for classes they didn’t get for one reason or another. 

Mr. Adams’ favorite things to do are hunting, fishing, and he likes farming. Adams also really likes to eat steak, it’s his favorite kind of food. If you ever see Mr. Adams in the hallway or his room, don’t be afraid to stop by and say hi to him because he is a very friendly guy.
