Aladdin is a street urchin who meets princess Jasmine. When Aladdin goes to visit her in the palace, he stumbles on a magic oil lamp that unleashes a genie. The genie and Aladdin then become friends and have to stop evil Jarfar from overthrowing princess Jasmine’s kingdom.

Tryouts for this play were held on November 10, 2022, and November 13, 2022. The first full cast rehearsal was on November 29th at O.B. Laing.

Some of the cast members who attend Algona High School included: Seth Walker as Aladdin, Riker Brindley as Jafar, Hannah Severson as a fruit vendor, Ryley Riggert as a lead guard and Prince Malik, Joseph Struecker as Prince Abdullah, and many others! Seth Walker states, “It was really fun and wasn’t too difficult; it was fun to hang out with friends.”

These individuals did such a great job and performed well!
