FFA community service grant

Deitering Bros., Inc., together with AGCO Corporation, participated in the AGCO dealers’ FFA Chapter Grant Program through the National FFA Foundation for an opportunity to recognize and support local FFA chapters. They selected the Algona FFA chapter to be their recipient.

These funds are to be used to support the chapter’s career development events, community outreach, conferences or conventions, and agricultural education needs. The Iowa FFA Association also received a $200 grant from the chapter grant program. The Algona FFA chapter has a couple of community service events planned for the spring, including helping at the Kossuth County Fairgrounds with improvements in the swine barn. This donation will help the FFA chapter by participating and giving back to the local communities that support the FFA chapter.

“We are appreciative of the local businesses and individuals that support the Algona FFA chapter.  Without businesses like Deitering Bros., we would not be able to identify needs in the community and then make things happen,” stated Algona FFA advisor Betsy Becker.
