The Algona FFA had huge success on March 2nd in State Center at the District Contest. Logan Lentz got 1st place in Ag Broadcasting and will be competing in April at the State Leadership Conference. Ian Fehr got a gold in Job Interview. Cassidy Bierstedt got 3rd place gold in Creed Speaking. Bierstedt will also be going to the State Leadership Conference and will be competing in Creed Speaking. Jacob Schutter got a silver in Chapter Website. The Conduct of meetings team, including Charli Doods, Hana Perez, Malea Divis, Morgan Fraker, Maya Lentz, Alissa Engel, and Tucker Brunsvold got a bronze. Reid Louwagie and Ace Studer were voting delegates for the Algona FFA chapter.
Freshman, Tucker Brunsvold, stated before contest started, “I am very excited. I have been dreaming of this moment for a long time.”
Good luck to Bierstedt and Lentz at the State Leadership Conference in Ames, which will be held on the campus of Iowa State University on April 14th through April 16th. Logan Lentz stated, “It was a really good experience, but the job’s not finished.”
