Individual speech 2024

AHS students involved in speech recently competed at individual speech Districts, which took place on February 24th, at Sioux Central Community School District.

Students involved in individual speech this year from AHS include Loralei Brady, Sydney Seebecker, Evan Posey, Sadie Johnson, Remi Shaffer, Flynn McCann, and Natalee Reemstma. Senior, Sadie Johnson, states, “Some may fumble over their words, but not us.”

Students like to participate in speech because it can help boost confidence, conquer public speaking fears, and gain a lot of communication skills. It can also help students create new perspectives and open their eyes to things they might not have seen otherwise. Some popular categories include musical theater, radio broadcasting, prose, original oratory, and solo improvisation.

Students who were able to move on to the State level include Sydney Seebecker, Loralei Brady, Evan Posey, Sadie Johnson, Remi Shaffer, and Natalee Reemstma. They will continue perfecting their event until they go to compete on March 9th, at Kuemper Catholic High School.

Good luck Bulldogs!
