This week’s Senior Spotlight is Briona Ricke. Briona is the daughter of Keith and Brenda Ricke. She has three siblings: James, and Dustin, who are older, and Rylan, who is younger.
In Briona’s free time, she likes reading, baking, and working as a CNA at Accura HealthCare of Bancroft, which is a nursing home. Outside of school, Briona volunteers her time at Good Hope Lutheran Church, where she is a shepherd for the 1st and 2nd graders for Sunday School and also helps with the community Vacation Bible School. One of her favorite memories while at Algona High School is having anatomy with her friends and the variety of classes that are offered at the high school. Briona’s advice for underclassmen is to not stress about school because it will all be fine.
Next year Briona plans on going to Minnesota State University in Mankato for nursing and stated, “I am looking forward to trying new local stores/restaurants in Mankato.” Good luck to Briona on her plans at Minnesota State in Mankato next year.
