The Algona schools will have an early dismissal on Thursday, April 17th, at 2:30 and no school on Friday, April 18th, for break. The schools will also be closed on Monday, April 21st, because of staff development.
Students at AHS have a variety of plans for this upcoming break. Abby Lampe commented, “I am going to Des Moines to summer shop then driving to Storm Lake to see my grandparents.” Lydia Dose said, “I am hanging out with my family.” Jack Limbaugh stated, “Eating a lot of food.” Owen Johnson exclaimed, “Going to my grandparents’ house in Denison.”
After break the seniors will come back with 17 days left of high school; their last day is May 14th, unless they have late work, then they will need to come back for more. The rest of the schools will have 22 days left of school when they come back from break with their last day being May 21st.
