Have you heard of the Royal Archers Archery Club? Here’s a little background and what they’ve been up to the last few weeks!
The Royal Archers Archery Club is a ACSD supported club coached by Wendal and Nichole Metzger, along with others. The archery club was started in 2019 through local business sponsors and has continued to grow each year since. They start practicing in December each year, and the season wraps up towards the end of the school year. There are students from multiple schools in this area that come together to create a team.
On March 22, the archery club held a home tournament. Top AHS shooters were sophomore, Mason Green, with 359 and freshman, Emily Oldenkamp, with 373.
Also, on Saturday, April 5th, they traveled to Albert Lea for their final 3D tournament of the season. Green took home a second place finish, and Oldenkamp brought home first place followed by Dietra Broesder and Riley Schechinger in second and third place. Great work Bulldogs!
