Football 2025

The Algona Bulldogs had a rocky 2025 football  season. Their final record was 4-5 and they were 1-4 in District play. Set aside from the record, there were certainly highs for the Bulldogs.

The Dogs had wins over Spirit Lake (33-21), a week three win over Forest City (60-16), and a Homecoming win over Waverly-Shell Rock (28-7). The Bulldogs ended the rough season with a huge win over Bishop Heelan (21-13) who ended up in the State championship.

Nathon Manske led the Bulldogs in passing yards with 1502, rushing yards with 745, and total tackles with 48.5. Tate Garman led the Bulldogs in receiving yards with 752.

The Bulldogs had multiple kids with All District honors. First team went to Nathan Manske, quarterback, Tate Garman, wide receiver, Evan Allie, wide receiver, Max Nevitt, offensive line, Tate Carter, offensive line, and Will Limbaugh, defensive line. Players with 2nd team honors were given to Brody Shipler, utility, Cael Rotert, defensive back, Micah Kitzinger, wide receiver, Mason Ulrich, defensive line, Tayten Rummel, linebacker, and William Weichert, running back. Honorable mentions went to Caden Kuecker, defensive back, Owen Moe, utility, and Taevyn Zinnel, linebacker.

Tate Garman was selected as a Football seniors 2025second team All State wide receiver. Evan Allie has the great honor to play and compete at the Iowa Shrine bowl in July.

The Bulldogs are graduating a great group of ten seniors: Tate Carter, Tate Garman, Tyler Bradley, Evan Allie, Taevyn Zinnel, William Weichert, Quintin Frambach, Carter Anderson, Max Nevitt, and Hayden Fitz.
