Homecoming court 2025

The week of Monday, September 15th through the 19th, 2025, Algona High School celebrated Homecoming week with several activities, such as spirit days, games, the parade, powderpuff football, muscle volleyball, Homecoming court, and decorating the hallways with the theme Bulldogs Are Out of This World. Homecoming 2025 Minion Day

On Monday, Algona High School did not have school due to a teacher in-service day; however, the students still came to school to decorate their hallways. The seniors' hallway theme was Under the Sea, juniors was Fantasy, sophomores was Space, and freshmen was Way Back When. The junior hallway was judged as the best. 

EHomecoming muscle volleyball 2025ach day had a different spirit theme, which inspired the students to dress up and participate. On Tuesday, the dress up day was Pajama Day. Wednesday was Minion Day. Thursday was Bulldogs Are Out of This World Day, and Friday was Spirit Day! 

Also on Wednesday, there was powderpuff football and muscle volleyball. “My favorite part of Homecoming was when we won powderpuff football," said junior, Emma Spear. The juniors won powderpuff football and the seniors won muscle volleybaHomecoming  2025 powderpuff footballll.

This year’s Homecoming court featured some of the school's most spirited students and, with a tie for votes for the court, there were six queen and six king candidates. The girls who were selected were Aylee Herke, Abbie Droessler, Macy Knapp, Jillian Burns, Natalee Reemstma, and Jozzlyn Beaver. The boys were Taevyn Zinnel, William Weichert, Gavin Weber, Barrett Morgan, Nile Owen, and Tate Garman. The king and queen of the 2025 Homecoming court were Abbie Droessler and Nile Owen. 

The week wrapped up with the pep rally in the high school gym, where the fall activity members were recognized and the king and queen were crowned. The cheerleaders pepped up the crowd, the band and dance team performed, and class games, such as pop the balloon and a spoon race were held. 

AftHomecoming 2025 paradeer the pep rally, the parade went from Bertha Godfrey to Algona High School. The parade started with the elementary students walking and recognized all fall clubs and sports. Both the middle school and high school bands performed their Band Day pieces. 

Homecoming capped off with the football game against Waverly-Shell Rock at 7:00. The student section was packed with Bulldog fans repping their school colors. The Bulldogs beat Waverly-Shell Rock 28-7 to conclude Homecoming 2025 at Algona High School.
