The Algona and Bishop Garrigan Trapshooting teams are not school-affiliated sports, but they are supported by the schools. Trapshooting is held through the East Fork Izaak Walton League High School Trapshooting Program.
In trapshooting, members shoot 50 clay targets in two rounds. Each round you get 25 clay pigeons. Everyone competes as an individual and as a “team” for scores. The teams are created by individual shooting averages to create ability-level teams.
If you’re interested in trapshooting, check out their Facebook page: East Fork Izaak Walton League High School Trapshooting Program or contact advisor Ryan Miller.
Trapshooting starts on March 18th and the first meet they will participate in is on April 8th.
“Trapshooting was very fun last year!” says Owen Doocy.
