One of the many activities at AHS is The Bark House. The Bark House is a student-run business done by a class Mrs. Louwagie teaches where students experience making fun, good tasting drinks, and treats. Class member Laura Stohr says, “I always enjoy making drinks in the morning, it’s really fun.”
They have several fizzy, caffeinated drinks in addition to their new clear protein drinks and matcha drinks. They always work to have something new on the menu.
They also have a full menu of snacks, ranging from Bulldog energy bites to smoothie bowls.
Teachers and students are allowed to order through their instagram, or through the QR code located on many posters around the school. Orders must be in by midnight of Wednesday in order to get your items Thursday morning. All of the kids who order the items always have positive comments to say about the food and drinks.
Also new to the Bark House are teacher meals. Teachers have heat and eat meal options with some examples being tater-tot casserole or bowtie chicken alfredo. Teachers must order from the flyers hanging up in the teachers lounge, and the meals will be ready for their lunch.
So check out the Bark House this Thursday for a drink or snack, and be ready to be greeted with a friendly smile when picking up your items.
