The Academic Night of Excellence is coming up on March 24th. Students will be recognized for their outstanding performance in academics. To be able to be recognized, students must achieve the minimum grade point average requirement. Freshmen and sophomores must have a 3.7 cumulative GPA or higher. Juniors and seniors must have a 3.5 or higher. Senior Aylee Herke says, “I love being recognized for my academics.” Students rarely are publicly recognized for their academic achievements. This night is a great opportunity for students to be recognized for their success.
New National Honor Society members will also be inducted on this night. Current members of the Algona chapter of NHS will present the core values then inductees will sign into membership. The requirements for acceptance are two recommendation letters, a minimum of thirty-five community service hours, a 3.5 GPA or higher, and to maintain a good reputation. The core values or pillars of NHS include scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Congratulations to all students who have earned this achievement!
