Algona High School students, it’s time to prepare for AP exams! The exams will be held May 4th through the 8th at AHS. AP Chemistry will be on May 5th from 8-12, AP Literature and Composition will be on May 6th from 8-12, and AP Stats will be May 7th from 12-3.
To register for the AP exams, Algona High School students must create or log in to their College Board account, join their specific class sections using codes from their teachers, and register/pay through the school. Registration should already be done to avoid late fees.
These tests can only be taken by AP class students. All of the AHS classes that can take the AP exams are AP Chemistry, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Stats. All of these classes qualify students to take the AP exam, so make sure to talk to your teachers and start studying.
Each exam costs $99 to take. Taking this exam gets you college credits, if you score a 3, 4, or 5. The credits transfer for college introductory classes of the same kind.
AP Literature & Composition teacher, Mrs. Niles, stated, “Students are working hard for AP exams.” So start studying and keep working hard.
