On Wednesday, March 4th, the sophomores and juniors from Algona, as well as those from area high schools, attended the College Fair in the Algona High School gym. Other schools to attend were North Iowa, West Bend, and Emmetsburg. Held from 1:30-3:00, students had plenty of time to meet with the representatives to gather information.
More than 50 colleges and universities, both in-state and out-of-state, in addition to the military, were present at the College Fair. Private and public schools were both represented, as well as community colleges and vocational programs. Representatives from the different institutions brought information and knowledge about their schools. This event gave students a chance to see what opportunities are offered after high school. Through talking with representatives, students got to learn about the programs offered, campus life, and college community.
Mason Ulrich said, “I really enjoyed the College Fair. I can’t wait for next year!”
