On Tuesday, April 9th, the sophomore class went to a career day at Iowa Lakes Community College's Emmetsburg campus. This day is for students to learn more about different careers they can pursue in the future. There were five sessions featuring a variety of careers, including medical, agriculture, law enforcement, hospitality, technology, and customer service, from Kossuth County and surrounding areas.
This was a great day for students to talk to people in a specific field about what they do. This opportunity allowed students to get an idea of what they might want to do in the future and start thinking about internships for their junior and senior years.
Sophomore Teagan Garman said, “This was a great experience.” This information will help guide the students through what they may want to do after high school.
