On Saturday, March 28th, the Royal Arrow Archery Club went to the Waltonian Archers of Linn County for a meet. Rankings for high school ladies were 1st Deitra Broesder with a 412 and 2nd Kinley Karels with a 402. For high school boys, 1st was Corbin Darling with a 470. For middle school ladies, 1st was Emma Muller with a 345 and 2nd was Bella Stundahl with a 270. Final ranks for middle school boys was Cael Charbonneaux in 1st with a 337 and Brody Buscher in 2nd with a 245.
Saturday, April 4th, marked their last indoor meet of the season. They traveled to Albert Lea where Full Draw Archery Club of Albert Lea, Minnesota, hosted. Everyone was able to experience targets that popped up and others that traveled on a track. Moving targets are always a treat for the archers. Detria Broesder said, “Hope without aim is an archer without arrows.”
Their outdoor tournament at Mid Iowa Archers in Indianola on Saturday, April 11th, became an indoor 3D home tourney due to bad weather. They changed up the course and made some difficult shots. Out of 540 points possible, Karsyn Myhre got first in the ladies’ division with a 429 and Deitra Broesder was 2nd with a 416. For high school boys, 1st was Wyatt Schaffer with a 441 and 2nd was Corbin Darling with a 425. For middle school ladies, 1st was Emma Muller with a 417 and 2nd was Bella Stundahl. Brody Buscher won middle school boys with a 325.
Next up, they travel to Webster City on Saturday, April 18th.
