As the weather gets warmer and April leads to May, the number of events the seniors have coming up increases. On April 18th, they will attend their senior Prom. To finish the month of April, in advisory, senior exit presentations are on the 24th, giving seniors a chance to share their future plans after graduation, as well as memories, lessons learned, and people who made an impact on them.
For the month of May, Decision Day is on the first. This is a time for AHS seniors to share their plans with the rest of the school after graduation. Usually, fun photos and goals from early elementary are shared as well. The video yearbook will be on May 5th, showcasing moments from the school year, activities, and recognizing the graduating seniors. The days for AP testing for literature & comp, statistics, and chemistry are May 5-7th. Advisories will be having senior parties on the 8th.
The last day of classes for seniors is Wednesday, May 13th. Then the seniors will have their official last day. May 14th is packed with events. They will have breakfast at 7:30 am, followed by the senior announcements for awards and scholarships from 8:30-10:30am in the Performing Arts Center. They'll also have the Walk Through the Ages, going through all of the K-12 schools.
To end off the seniors' school year, commencement is on Sunday, May 17th, at 2:00 pm in the high school gym. Brooklyn Adams says, āI'm excited to move on but I'll miss band.ā Enjoy your last moments while still in school seniors! We wish you luck in your future endeavors. Itāll be over before we know it.
