Prom is just around the corner! It will be held at Algona High School on April 18th. The theme this year is Under the Western Sky. The first Prom event that takes place is social hour from 7pm- 7:50pm in the AHS commons. Here parents and guests can come take a look at all of the Prom attendees all dressed up. This is also a great time to look for seats in the gym for Grand March!
The next event that takes place is Grand March, starting at 8:00pm. Be ready to watch as the Prom attendees are announced and walk across the stage all dressed up. If you wish to attend the Grand March, there is a fee of $2. The Grand March will also be live streamed for those who are not able watch in person on Algona Broadcasting on YouTube.
The Prom dance starts at 9:00pm. Avery Hersom says this is her favorite part of Prom. This part of Prom is exclusive to the Prom attendees and closed to the public.
At 11:30, it will be time to get ready for After Prom. After Prom will consist of a hypnotist in the middle school gym, food in the middle school commons, and casino games, inflatables, and Superstars games in the Fieldhouse. It will be such a fun night for Prom attendees! There are so many unique events and fun activities!
