Passport to Paradise

Prom will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Algona High School. The theme for the 2022 Prom is Passport to Paradise. Prom is a formal event and formal attire should be worn for Social Hour, Grand March, and the dance. Attendees will have time to change after the dance for After Prom.

Prom sign up has been going on since March 14th. Sign up will end this Friday, April 8th, in the high school office. It costs 20 dollars per Prom attendee. If anyone plans on bringing a date who does not go to Algona High School or is out of school, they will need to get a form from the office and fill it out and give it to Mr. Cecil for approval prior to Prom. Prom sponsor, Jenni Adams, says, “I am so excited to work with the kids and get to see them get all dressed up. It’s such a fun experience.”

Once you are at the school for Prom, you will not be allowed to leave or access your vehicles until After Prom is finished. If you are not going to After Prom, you will leave after the dance. If you decide to leave early, a parent or guardian will be called, and once you leave the school, you can not come back into Prom.
