The Bulldog boys had a great 2023-2024 season with seven wrestlers advancing to State. In order to advance to State, wrestlers had to get through Districts on Saturday the 10th of February.
The boys who placed at Districts and advanced to State at Wells Fargo Arena were Brody Shipler, weighing in at 180 pounds, Taevyn Zinnel, at 157 pounds, Tate Slagle, at 150 pounds, Ashton Moreno, at 144 pounds, Barrett Morgan, at 138 pounds, Elijah Wilhite, at 126 pounds, and Isaac Wilson, at 120 pounds.
State was held on Wednesday, the 14th, to Saturday, the 17th. Junior, Owen Johnson, said, “My teammates worked hard at the Well.”
Shipler, Zinnel, Moreno, and Wilhite worked hard through their brackets but didn’t make a placing spot.
Barrett Morgan became a back to back medalist as he finished in 8th place. Tate Slagle also finished as a back to back medalist. This year, he ended his season in 5th place. And with his first medal, Taevyn Zinnel finished in 7th.
