Each year, the Algona CSD awards Golden Apples to staff members with 25 years of service. This year, we had 8 Golden Apple Awards recipients (from L to R): Joe Carter, Mike Elsbecker, Brian Morgan, Noel McLaughlin, Brenda Geitzenauer, Kim Traub, Zoe Heider, and Marie Berke.

Algona Community Schools will dismiss one hour early today (May 21st). 2:20 Dismissal for the elementary schools and 2:30 for Middle and High schools.
The last day of school for the 2023-2024 school year will be tomorrow, May 22nd! Elementaries dismiss at 11:15 and the MS/HS dismiss at 11:30. Lunch will NOT be served. Have a great summer!

Since 1972, National School Nurse Day has been set aside to recognize school nurses.

National Administrative Professionals Day is today, Wednesday, April 24. It is celebrated annually on the last Wednesday of the last full week of April. This day recognizes and appreciates the work of administrative professionals such as receptionists, secretaries, and administrative assistants.
