Each year School Bus Driver Appreciation Day falls on the fourth Tuesday in April, which is April 23 in 2024. Today, we are recognizing all school bus drivers for taking care of our precious cargo during the school year. Whether they are transporting our kids to school, home, activities, or to sporting events, school bus drivers deserve recognition for the job they do. Thank you for your service to the students at ACSD!

In just 2 short weeks on May 3rd, Algona High School will be hosting the State Large Group Music Festival. Bands and Choirs from 18 schools will be coming to Algona to participate. We need a lot of volunteers to make this night run smoothly. Please thoughtfully look over the volunteer positions on our https://signup.com/go/RfncpEP list and sign up for a shift or two or even three. Contact Mr. HU or Liebl with any questions.

Thank you for being so patient. We are going to dismiss kids out of our buildings at 4:15. Buses will be about 1 hour behind tonight. There will be no middle school practices.

All students will remain in the buildings today until the Tornado warning passes. All of our buses will wait and will transport kids as normal once the warning is over.

Reminder! No school tomorrow, April 17, due to Staff Development.

Algona students will have the opportunity to hear an inspiring message from the Grammy nominated artist Saul Paul on April 18 (rescheduled from February).
