Algona Football travels to ELC tonight - Tickets must be purchased in advance or by debit/credit card at the gate. Advanced tickets can be found on Bound - Kickoff is 7pm, they will have a pork loin tailgate prior to the game. Go Bulldogs!

Our next New Teacher Feature is Taylor Krieps! Mrs. Krieps is starting her teaching career at Lucia Wallace, teaching 3rd grade. She has a Bachelors in Elementary Education from UNI with a minor in Literacy Education. She grew up in Wesley and is an Algona alum.

Today our New Teacher Feature showcases first year teacher KaraAnn Reineke! Ms. Reineke has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Literacy from the University of Northern Iowa. Have a great first day with students!

Our next New Teacher Feature is Jill Orban! Mrs. Orban comes to ACSD with 18 years of experience. She holds a Bachelors in Music Education from Morningside College. Her husband, Adam, also works for the district and they have four children: Owen, Ethan, Natalie, and Isaac. They also have a golden retriever named Buddy.

CLARIFICATION: The AHS Wall of Fame Ceremony will take place on Friday, August 25th. There will be a Meet & Greet at 4:30pm in the PAC Lobby and the ceremony will take place in the AHS Commons at 5:00pm. Recognition will also take place during halftime of the football game.

UPDATED: The first home football game for the year will be this Friday, Aug 25 at 7:00pm. During halftime will be our Wall of Fame ceremony and our AHS marching band performance!

Before the first home football game, please review the expectations for students in grades K-4. 1) Kindergarten through 4th grade students coming to the game must be supervised and in close proximity of a parent/adult supervisor. 2) For everyone’s safety -Students will not be allowed to play football or other games. No roughhousing, fighting, or throwing things onto the track or field. 3) Be respectful and show good sportsmanship. Stand quietly during the National Anthem. Never boo or yell at officials or opposing players. Cheer loudly for the Bulldogs!
