Over the past few years, part of teacher’s professional development has been focused around restorative practices and students’ social and emotional learning. One method that teachers have been utilizing are circles. Today the middle school would like to introduce that practice and show it being applied in the classroom. Conferences are coming up on Feb. 27-28. There will be a 2:30 dismissal both days and conferences will take place from 4:00-7:30 (AHS on Monday only). Also, there is no school on March 3. Sign up for K-4 conferences can be found at https://www.myconferencetime.com/algona/

Congratulations to the AHS jazz choir, Scarlet Midnight, for receiving a Division I rating at the IHSMA State Jazz Choir Festival last night. Their next performance will be at Spirit Lake's "Shake the Lakes" on February 17th. Keep up the good work!

The Middle School (boys and girls) Wrestling Tournament @ Emmetsburg tomorrow has been canceled. Tomorrow's HS Boys Wrestling dual vs Emmetsburg has been canceled tomorrow as well.
