On Monday, Oct. 23, the third graders from Lucia Wallace went to Wildhaven as a culminating activity for their Animal Classification unit in CKLA. Mr. Young's high school students mentored our third graders as they went on a scavenger hunt to find evidence of the 5 different classes in the animal kingdom that can be found in the Algona area: mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, and fish.

Six students were recently selected for participation in the 37th annual Opus Honor Choir Festival. Over 2400 students were nominated by their directors for 720 positions in the four Opus Honor Choirs. Selected from Algona were Sophia West Struecker, Natalie Orban, Hope Severson, Owen Orban, Kennedi Blair & Connor Reagan (alternate).
