Auditions for the fall musical, "Freaky Friday the Musical," will take place NEXT WEEK on Wed, May 21 from 11:45-2:00pm and Thurs, May 22 from 2:00-4:00pm. ALL incoming 9-11th graders are eligible to audition. Please see the graphic for more information!

The Algona 7th/8th Grade Band performed at the Adventureland Festival of Bands on Saturday, May 10. Their performance earned the highest possible rating of a I+. The band also earned the Best of Class Award in Class 2A. Algona Middle School Bands are under the direction of Kurt Kissinger, Dave Rich, and Nick Liebl.

We have 2 shifts with multiple positions to be filled to run the contest, PLUS we will be running the concession stand outside at the gateway for our guests as well as the Middle School Track Meet. The final AMS concerts for the year are coming up fast! Thursday, May 8th is the 5-8 Vocal Concert at 7pm and the 5-8 Band Concert will be broken into a 5th & 6th Grade Concert at 6pm and an IBA Send-Off Concert at 7:15pm for the 7/8th Grade Band.

This weekend is the AHS Spring Play! They will be performing "Leaving Iowa" on Saturday, May 3 at 7pm and Sunday, May 4 at 2pm. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults, all at the door. Come and support a hardworking & talented cast!
One of the special additions to the menu each month is focused around the "Harvest of the Month." For April it was cherries, featuring meatloaf, mashed potatoes & gravy and cherry brownies!
